Re: Clustered VS Non-clustered index

Hi Kevin,

Extremely sorry for giving an incomplete information. We will be dropping the status column too along with the ID column. Hence, we will be left with only three columns that is Name, ClassName and GroupName. The index will be created on these three columns.

I hope, at this point our aim is to verify whether creating a clustered index on these three columns yields better performance than creating a non-clustered index. My concern is that since ID column will be dropped, the clustered index is not effective and may impact range queries,

Please let me know if my understanding is right and let me know the correct index strategy.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards

ADNAN
